someone complained to me, too??? apparently ballpit meme is a sensitive topic now
maybe they’re having some kind of flashbacks to the grungy smell of unwashed balls
on a related note, I took that buzzfeed “can we guess your demographic?” or whatever quiz and literally the last image is of a ballpit “DOES THIS LOOK LIKE FUN???”
they’re onto us
EDIT: UM APPARENTLY THIS IS THE REASON <- not safe for work, sanity, or general humanity
I dunno why all the anon shit lately, but here: Some people just like you to tag things because it’s just fucking irritating. People like me.
No, you don’t have to tag it, but I (for one) would be a hell of a lot more appreciative if you did. I readily use Xkit so that I can continue to follow people while weeding out the shit that genuinely annoys the hell out of me for no other reason than it’s annoying. Most of the time I don’t have to ask people to tag things because it filters out text as well, but now, people are intentionally being asshats and reblogging things that can’t be filtered =_=.
I dunno, I honestly don’t even know why this is a thing. If someone asked you to tag spiders, say, you’d just do it so as not to cause your followers any undue distress. This isn’t any different. I’m generally just fucking 1000% done with some things and prefer not to be bombarded with them day after day, post after post. If it gets to the point that enough shit is cluttering up my dash without words or tags, I usually very nicely ask for tags. I mean, there’s a reason I’m following a person, I like them, I find them interesting, but it doesn’t mean we have to like or find humor in all of the exact same things.
I actually don’t really tag in general (because I’m the alt+reblog princess, hence the 8000 daily posts) unfortunately, I kind of wonder if I should put a warning on my blog in case people are hoping to saviour stuff? (there’s no way I can tag everything I blog with my blogging style!)
but I think I tagged ballpit? I don’t remember if I tagged the discussion of “why is ballpit bothering people?” though. >_< Is it that that is irritating you or dashcon in general???
it’s just… not something I thought was a real thing (as opposed to a troll), particularly since I got hit by 4chan AND bronies AND the angry teenage activists all in the space of about a week and a half :P
I might turn anon off, because if it’s a friend asking me to tag stuff yeah man, I’m gonna try my best not to be annoying! but if it’s anons trolling my few tags to make my life hard when they don’t even follow me… you see why I’ve been pretty flippant about it.
I’ve gotten a whole BUNCH of weird asks I haven’t published from the various weird anons. I’ve been blogging for years and all the weird crap happens this week.
